Footwell(front)
6th to 12th of July 2003

Now that the floor was on it was time to turn the car the right way round. 

 This was in preparation to start on the tricky front footwell panels.  Now spent quite a bit of time trying to work out what I thought would be the best way to achieve this.  Thought I would start on the passenger side as this is the easiest.  Many have put the alloy on the inside of the passenger compartment but the manual does state to fix from the engine side.  Main problem is the 2 diagonal chassis struts on the engine side as they slope at different degrees and are at different distances away from the edge.  Anyway after may trial fits started with triangular alloy piece.

The had to work out how to use the alloy supplied for front.  Decided to bend toward passenger to provide good seal, be along engine side along bottom chassis rail, be on passenger side along top chassis rail and have a diagonal bend around front to tunnel with final bend on chassis.  Took a long time to shape and prepare but final piece looks like this:
