Footwell(Driver's Side)
14th to 21st of July 2003

Having completed the passenger side tunnel front now time to start on the drivers side.  This was much harder as had to accommodate the hold for the steering wheel.  Also made more difficult as drivers side is larger yet Tiger supply the same size panel.  Anyway, first thing to do was again place the triangular piece of alloy on:

I again decided that I wanted to complete the front panel from the engine side of the chassis and bend it into the tunnel as much as possible to provide weather protection to tunnel and chassis.  Took a long time to shape but this was the results:

You can see the diagonal bend along the side into the tunnel.  Note the slight bend of the panel from the cutout for the button chassis rail.  This is the allow the panel to be pushed into place.  Once fitted, this is knock down to form a flush fit.  Also used a bend on the opposite side of tunnel to rivet to triangular panel to produce a good seal.  results as follows:

I used plenty of sealant around the steering wheel hole with a flush extra piece of alloy to produce a good seal.  Overall, pleased with results.
